Goals and Objectives

My journey into dietetics began with a genuine love of cooking and a passion for whole, nutritious food. Through my experiences in healthcare, I came to truly appreciate the strong connection between food and medicine.

After completing my degree and starting a career in food management, I found myself missing the direct patient interaction I had enjoyed in previous roles. This led me to explore the path to becoming a Registered Dietitian and to learn more about what is required to enter the profession.

Over the next year, my goal is to fully engage in all that practicum has to offer. I hope to deepen my clinical knowledge, reconnect with meaningful patient interaction, and continue to grow my passion for dietetic practice.

Drawing on my past work experience, I believe I am a strong candidate for the practicum program. I bring well-developed leadership and communication skills, a commitment to patient advocacy, and a consistent focus on evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines

Passions & Hobbies

When I’m not focused on clinical nutrition or food service management, I’m often outdoors or enjoying the many experiences that come with being a mother. I love exploring new places and opportunities, and I value creating a healthy work–life balance that allows me to be present both at work and at home.

  • Culinary arts: Experimenting with nutrient‑dense recipes and finding creative ways to make whole foods the focus of every meal.

  • Outdoor exploration: Staying active through hiking, snowshoeing, camping, and paddleboarding.

  • Sports and recreation: Enjoying baseball, swimming, biking, and participating in kids’ sports.

  • Spending time with my kids: Finding new activities, reading, playing games, socializing, and exploring outdoors together.
